My name is Stefan Paun and I love working on projects which involve programming, design and, engineering.
I am studying Interaction Technology MSc at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. Interaction Technology is a broad study concerned with the field of human-computer interaction, encompassing elements of computer science, understanding human context, design, and research.
My personal focus is on courses in machine learning, data science, natural language processing, computer vision and brain-computer interfaces.
When working on engineering projects, where the goal is to build a device which fulfills a certain task/requirement, it is important to be able to prototype the device rapidly to test it and further improve it.
Therefore I have familiarized myself with 3D CAD modelling to develop and design the device as well as 3D printing and laser cutting for rapid prototyping.
Most notable projects are the Optical Accelerometer and the Camera Stabilizer
Presentation is key. Either for a project, a company or yourself, the way you convey the information is important. Thus, I aimed to gain experience in the area of graphic design by working on small tasks such as posters or business cards.
To go along with my design skills, I enjoy developing websites based on the content management system WordPress. Focused is placed on aesthetics and user interaction.
In order to bootstrap my ability to develop websites, I am working on my programming skills. While I have had experience with HTML and CSS, I am currently focused on adding functionality with Java, Python and jQuery.
